Who can enter?

  • Open to all teachers and lecturers working in UK further education establishments
  • The teams can include teaching and non-teaching staff – there is no set number of individuals in any team and teams can work at several college clusters.
  • We welcome entries from state and independent FE colleges.
  • We welcome entries for diverse educators who represent the diversity of our society

Key points to consider

To maximise your nominee’s chances of success, please address the these points in your entry.

  • Team role and impact: The part the team plays when set in the context of the institution as a whole and how individuals within the team contribute to this; the ways in which their exceptional teamwork impact outcomes for their learners – what characterises this teamwork? What is the impact of this team’s work and its lasting effects?
  • Vision and goals: What did the team set out to achieve and where are they now, against their ambitions? Have the outcomes matched or exceeded their original objectives and what have the benefits been for the institution’s community and stakeholders? Tell us about any challenges the team have overcome to enable effectiveness and success?
  • Teaching and learning: The ways in which this team’s behaviours and actions improve the overall teaching and learning experience.
  • Inspiring and engaging others: Examples of how this team builds rapport with and engages others – What range of people and organisations are involved to achieve this team’s vision.
