FE teams can be a key asset to an institution.
High performing FE Teams are made up of members who work together professionally as models of good practice to deliver great results with a strong improvement trajectory. The outstanding team stands out for truly making a difference to the futures of its learners.
Who can enter?
- Open to all FE teams working in UK state or independent FE colleges teaching learners up to the age of 18.
- The team can be made up of teaching and non-teaching staff – there is no set number of individuals in any team and teams can work at several college clusters.
- We welcome entries that are representative of the diversity of our society.
Award Criteria
Please ensure you address these points in your entry.
- Team role and impact: The part the team plays, when set in the context of the college as a whole, and how individuals within the team contribute to this; the ways in which their exceptional teamwork impact outcomes for their learners – what characterises this teamwork? What is the impact of this team’s work and its lasting effects?
- Vision and goals: What did the team set out to achieve and where are they now, against their ambitions? Have the outcomes matched or exceeded their original objectives and what have the benefits been for the college’s community and stakeholders? Tell us about any challenges the team has overcome to enable effectiveness and success.
- Teaching and learning: How has the team’s behaviour and actions improved the overall teaching and learning experience.
- Inspiring and engaging others: Give us examples of how this team builds rapport with and engages others – what stakeholders have they built sustained relationships with to help achieve the team’s vision.
