This category is open to all infant, primary or first schools teaching children aged 4-11 in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

  • Brighter futures: Ways in which the school has overcome local challenges to create a calm and positive learning environment- pupils, parents and community feel pride and ownership and can point to examples of successful change and can articulate plans for the future.
  • Beyond the classroom: Examples of positive working between school and community that not only support pupils’ learning but also encourage successful community engagement and cohesion.
  • Inspiring and engaging others: Ways in which the school welcomes and engages parents in their children’s learning and collaborates other key partners to enrich the life and learning of the school.
