William is the curriculum leader for mathematics and is passionate about his pupils achieving their potential. He believes in the sharing of best practice and the numerous benefits of using ICT to enhance learning. To this end, William developed Numeracy Ninjas, a programme of work based on extensive research, and has made it freely available to schools and colleges worldwide. Developed in his own time before being launched at the start of the 2015/16 academic year, the programme has gone viral in the mathematics world and is now in use in thousands of schools across every continent in the world. His department and the whole school are proud of his efforts but he is too humble himself to recognise this. He is both an inspiration and a pragmatic activist with respect to the professional learning of his peers.
