Reach is a Pupil Referral Unit whose role is to support young people of secondary age who are experiencing great difficulties in their home or school and have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. Students have undergone often traumatic experiences before coming to Reach. They arrive angry, disillusioned with life and school, with few aspirations and hating
education. Staff work with students and their families to support them using the school ethos, transforming lives through education. The lasting effect of their work is incalculable, results and outcomes are exceptional as evidenced by the school’s “outstanding” grading from Ofsted.
