Simon Bayliss

Simon is an exceptional Science teacher whose fascinating lessons ensure that his students are
drawn into his subject, grow in confidence and exceed expectations as a result. His classroom is
characterised by an intense air of focus, an easy rapport, a very high level of enjoyment and the
school pet, Aristotle the Mexican salamander! Although still an NQT, his school has supported
him in undertaking a Masters in Teaching and Learning, such is his promise as an outstanding teacher.
As his Headteacher said of him, “in 34 years of teaching, I have never come across such an exceptional
NQT”.
