Deputy headteacher and Year 6 teacher at Marshfield Primary School, Shaukat has become a pillar of the school community since he joined in 2015. Renowned for his inspirational teaching, exceptional leadership and unabridged commitment to pupils and families, under his guidance Marshfield consistently ranks in the top 2% nationally for Year 6 outcomes. He has led the school to earn accolades such as the World Class School Quality Mark, played a pivotal role in securing multiple community awards and was instrumental in Marshfield’s recent achievement of ‘Outstanding‘ in every area in its latest Ofsted inspection. Working in one of Yorkshire’s most deprived areas, Shaukat leads transformative initiatives that extend far beyond the classroom — from organising life-changing international visits and community events to creating safe spaces and vital support for vulnerable families. His dedication has helped Marshfield become a beacon of hope, excellence, inclusion and opportunity and his teaching is consistently rated as ‘Outstanding Plus’.
