Since joining the school five years ago, and since becoming Assistant Headteacher, Philippa has spread positivity through the whole school community. She has led the school choir to perform at local events and united the whole community. She arranged for an allotment space to be utilised by the school to grow vegetables, which has been developed into a farmers market for the school family to enjoy.
In her English lead role she has introduced a new writing and spelling scheme that has had a strong impact. An overwhelming number of families commented on how supportive Philippa was during the pandemic as she taught her class, provided extra support to families and made learning accessible for all. 100% of students engaged with the online learning offer and provided positive feedback. Colleagues describe her as ‘a pleasure to work with and an inspiration to those lucky to be around her’.
