Phil Brooks has spent his career working with students from a severely deprived background, and despite this, his results are some of the best in the country. Aside from the purely academic he has also arranged for learners to spend time in Berlin, Spain and Italy, has worked with local colleges to promote photography as a choice and leads on the regional ‘Living Memory’ project to promote Black Country art and history.
Phil believes that industry and learning should be forged as one. His learners are the beneficiaries of international exchange visits and work placements, charity projects, industry-leading speakers and a raft of learner residentials. Phil’s learners not only leave with excellent industry links and knowledge, but also with one of the highest value-added scores in the country.
