Paul Mercer

Paul is highly principled, driven, innovative and ensures that the absolute best education is provided to all learners. His pragmatism and ethical principles are evident in his many innovative initiatives, such as the College Kitchen Charity Partnerships, bringing basic cookery skills to vulnerable adults and children through student led cookery tutorials based on Foodbank Staples. He established partnerships with local charities and councils, with a recent and successful partnered charity event with Bangor Foodbank and Ards and North Down Borough Council, while in December 2020, the Hospitality and Catering School donated 1000 Christmas dinners to the Bangor, Downpatrick, and Newtownards Food Banks, as well as to several clients from local charities in the area.
