Patsy has worked at Ancorsholme Academy since 2013, initially as a lunchtime welfare assistant, then a general classroom assistant and in 2015 she took on the considerable role of outdoor learning lead, through which she works with every child in the school every week, introducing them to the wonders of learning beyond the classroom. The children’s enjoyment of learning about the wonders of the world is her absolute priority. Her constant positivity has a huge impact on the pupils and colleagues she works with. During a recent “Happiness” conference pupils were asked if there are any staff in the school who operate in the highest 2% of workers, because they are highly motivated. In one united voice they all said Miss Carr.
