Michael was inspired to go into teaching after work experience in a school for children with additional needs, which showed him how he could make a difference in children’s lives. Due to his expertise he was selected to attend Robotics and Automaton Training at the European Space Agency’s Education Centre in Belgium, which led to South Lanarkshire Council funding a new Robotics and Automaton initiative which he delivered in school.
Under Michael’s supervision, learners have reached incredible heights in their digital learning, which would have taken children in other schools months if not years to develop. He also led the school to gain their Digital Schools’ Award which recognises excellence in digital technology.
