Melissa Sladen

Melissa Sladen is a brilliant teacher who stepped up to help lead the school at a time of real change, when all but two teachers were new to the school. Not only was she instrumental in Sir John Sherbrooke School getting a Good Ofsted, but she also gave huge support to all the staff and pupils during an unsettled time, as well as teaching full time in year 6. During lockdown she continued to go above and beyond, raising thousands of pounds to enable children across the country to have stationery and workbooks at home, while also creating a website full of free lesson resources for teachers to use in and out of the classroom.
