Mark Allday is in his second year of teaching and is an inspirational Director of Learning for Computer Science at Sandringham School. Mark is passionate about his subject and works to enthuse his students, going beyond the school curriculum to organise activities such as Bletchley Park Codebreaking days through to trips to Silicon Valley in California. He achieves outstanding results, including the school’s first two Computer Science students to Oxford and Cambridge. He supports the wider community of Computer Science teachers through his work for Computing at School. He has developed links with industry and the University of Hertfordshire to encourage young people into Computing-related careers and recognising the key role of technology skills in the future workplace.
