Kirsty Ralston joined the Royal Liberty School as a trainee teacher and her impact was immediate. She shows inspirational leadership in learning within her classroom and across the school.
Kirsty is committed to creating innovative pathways for learning, with each student at the centre and treated as an autonomous lifelong learner. Under Kirsty’s leadership as Head of History, it has become an increasingly popular GCSE option, and results have soared from 59% A-C to 78% 9-4 in 2019.
Kirsty has redesigned the school’s Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) curriculum, which has helped achieve a more harmonious school community and empowered the voices of students from minority groups. She is considered an invaluable member of our school community.
