Jill Stevens

An exuberant and adventurous teacher, Jill uses the environment around her to immerse her pupils in the topic; one time bringing Saxon fire pit into school to demonstrate how they cooked. Her Saxon costume was so good in fact, pupils did not realise it was her! Her compassion and enthusiasm are infectious, giving pupils the attention they need and helping those from disadvantaged backgrounds succeed in school. Jill has embraced remote learning and has adapted to make sure her lessons are no less engaging; with students playing games and taking part in interactive activities such as baking bread and creating lava lamps!
