Janet Macleod has undoubtedly been one of the most influential and well-loved teachers in the long history of the school. Over the course of four decades, Janet has been a source of inspirational teaching and learning for so many pupils, stimulating their enjoyment, knowledge and skills in music.
The results of her pupils at GCSE have consistently been outstanding but Janet’s philosophy embraces the encouragement of all pupils, within all year groups, to achieve their best, regardless of their musical ability or background. At the same time, she has played a significant role in training and developing so many music teachers in the region, extending her influence into many schools, keeping the flame of high quality teaching in music and arts burning brightly beyond Sawston Village College.
