James Havbro

James is an Engagement and Learning Mentor with an invaluable talent for connecting with pupils;
through his innate gift for teaching and through the innovative outdoor learning unit which he set up and runs. He established the unit as a means of giving pupils with very challenging behaviour the time,
space and clear learning objectives needed to re-engage with the learning process before returning
to the classroom. He gives children practical, garden-based lessons that help them learn how to
appreciate learning. Testament to his success is the fact that, despite great challenges, every one of
his pupils remains in mainstream education.
