Andrew Kyprianou

As the Director of Engineering within a successful University Technical College (UTC) with a STEM focused curriculum, I oversee the Engineering Curriculum and Company engagement across WMG Academy Trusts MAT, maintaining high performing teams that ensure aspirational outcomes and outstanding destinations for our learners. Most recently I was featured in The Design & Technology Associations Practice magazine in Autumn 2024 showcasing how I have designed our curriculum working with industry to integrate live industry led projects into our STEM focused curriculum in WMG Academy Trust. I have also spoken as a guest at Warwick University through the Future of Work conference series in October 2024 where industry educators and local employers came together to assist in inspiring the next generation of manufacturing talent in the West Midlands. In addition to this I was also invited to meet the Mayor of West Midlands Combined Authority, Richard Parker in December 2024 to share details of Jaguar Land Rover’s education and talent acquisition strategy and the impact this has had upon our learners within WMG Academy Trust. In March 2026 I also invited Richard Parker Mayor of the West Midlands to visit our Solihull Academy site where he attended a round table event on challenges facing young learners in gaining employment. The visited showcased how WMG Academy Trust’s Industry led curriculum works in practise with Richard having conversations with current students and our alumni about their current work and aspirations for the future.
