Amy is described by colleagues as outstanding, calm, happy, creative and nurturing. She’s also described as a swan, with a ‘graceful and elegant exterior and hardworking, honest attitude, paddling continuously out of sight’.
She has enjoyed the creative curriculum and the freedom and opportunity to flourish as a practitioner. She has nurtured others and excelled, both in her own class through the attainment of the children (many of whom are from disadvantaged backgrounds or who have special educational needs) and through the many subject areas she leads. She ‘shines and brightens the day’, supporting her colleagues with integrity and passion for the role and continuous improvement of the school. Amy has ‘turned around’ new pupils who arrived uninspired and ‘anti-education’. She welcomed and supported them with a fun and lively, full and exciting curriculum.
