All Saints C of E Primary School serves a diverse community where the vast majority of pupils have English as an additional language. Although the community is close knit, many families don’t have relatives close by and so were at risk of being isolated during the lockdowns. School staff went above and beyond to support families, with regular phone calls to check in, dropping off food and other supplies, and offering places on site to vulnerable children. These pupils were supported to learn to cook, ride bikes and go on local nature walks. Staff also set up and ran the Bolton School Community Scrub Hub – sewing vital scrubs for care home staff.
