The Teaching Awards Trust
The Pearson National Teaching Awards are run by an independent charity, The Teaching Awards Trust. We were established by Lord David Puttnam in 1998, and our mission for nearly 30 years has been to celebrate and value the impact of educators across the UK. Our vision is a society that recognises and celebrates the life-changing work happening in education every day — helping teaching and support staff across early years, schools and colleges feel celebrated, appreciated and proud of the difference they make.

The Pearson National Teaching Awards
The Pearson National Teaching Awards recognise transformational teaching across the UK and are televised annually by the BBC on The One Show. With a heritage spanning nearly 30 years, the Awards are free for teachers to enter and attend, making them uniquely accessible on a national scale.
Education Insights
Education Insights is a series of free regional events bringing together educators, experts and keynote speakers to explore the issues shaping young people’s lives and our shared responsibility in preparing them for the world beyond school.
Thank a Teacher
The Thank a Teacher campaign lets anyone show appreciation for education staff through a free digital card, culminating each year in National Thank a Teacher Day, when we invite the whole of the UK to say thank you.
