Congratulations to five Teaching Award winners and a panel chair who were recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List. They are:
* Jeffrey Threlfall, national winner of the 2006 Royal Air Force Award for Headteacher of the Year in a Secondary School - CBE
* Jasminder Grewal, winner of the 2006 Teaching Award for Headteacher of the Year in a Primary School in London - OBE
* Robert Gilby, winner of the 2006 Teaching Award for Headteacher of the Year in a Primary School in the East Midlands - OBE
* Barry Day, winner of the 2006 Royal Air Force Award for Headteacher of the Year in a Secondary School in the East Midlands - OBE
* Dennis Richards, winner of the 2007 Ted Wragg Award for Lifetime Achievement, sponsored by The Innovation Unit, in the North of England - OBE
* Anne Evans, chair of the West Midlands panel of judges and chief executive of the HTI Leadership Centre - OBE
